Company Attrition

Project Insight

As a consultant with “Bain and Associates” I was to use descriptive analytics to help figure out the company’s attrition problem. Our stakeholder expressed concern about several pain points and where she thought the most attrition occurred. We were given the company’s HR data, which we had to clean before we could pull information.

Stakeholder questions that I felt were important to help in solving the problem and providing insights for the solution: I had to delve into the data to see if I could find where the issues may be. These had to be submitted in a collaborative setting, so only 1-2 questions were chosen in the end (per group).

Project Insight

The outcome of the interview with the Stakeholder. What I found interesting was that the stakeholder thought the problem was coming from 2 departments when, in fact, it was coming from the 3rd. The stakeholder was very specific that she wanted the information provided to be very simple, easy to read and comprehend.

Here is the dashboard I developed to show where the attrition was the strongest, based on gender, age, marital status and department. In the real world, I would make this an interactive dashboard so that we could keep an eye on improvements in order to increase the retention rate.

I presented my findings and presented some solutions I thought would help lessen the attrition for the company in the future.
